What happened
We used brochure stands in workplaces to advertise our local quit provider’s details. All those who contacted a quit provider within the month of May went into the draw to win a $100 grocery voucher. They were also given display material. We also gave every mum who had a baby in May a smokefree pack.
Sent letter with items for display to GPs.
Put Quit Packs in toy libraries.
We had a few media opportunities about WERO and World Smokefree Day (WSFD) in general.
There were display boards for WSFD in the main foyer of the Timaru hospital, antenatal clinic, maternity ward and mental health OPD.
All South Canterbury DHB staff pay-slips were printed advertising cessation local cessation service. DHB intranet advertising local smoking cessation service.
